2020
A new phase of development
2020 marked the introduction of important new players into the company, that will drive the company’s growth strategy and initiate the automation and expansion of the plant. These fundamental changes will redefine the company’s philosophy and energize its operations.
Throughout its evolution, the company has collaborated with people who have left their mark, big and small, on the history of the industry. Today, Groupe Lessard Inc. has more than 400 employees and is active in Quebec and Ontario, in addition to carrying out projects in the Northeast United States.

High-performance MP5000 Unitized Curtain Wall
Our plant manager puts forth our high performance MP5000 Unitized Curtain Wall system, managing strategic planning and ensuring manufacturing ahead of schedule!
Launch of the new 95WW Series Hybrid Window Wall system
What a success! Our new 95WW Series slab-to-slab Window Wall system provides exceptional speed of installation, rigidity for greater spans and is completely prefabricated at the factory.
2014
Relocation and new plant
To support the company’s growth, the team acquired a large building in Laval. The move will allow the storage of prefabricated systems on a huge lot adjacent to the plant. Le Groupe Lessard inc. is on track for an industrial expansion that will feed its growing production capacity.
2010
Offering a complete building envelope made of aluminum and glass
2010 marks the arrival of new talent and the company’s growing number of important projects in both the Montreal and Ottawa regions. It is also at this time that the 5000 Series Unitized Curtain Wall system is launched, enabling us to offer a complete range of products dedicated to the building envelope.
Development of the 5000 Series Unitized Curtain Wall system
A first tower is built with our high-performance Unitized Curtain Wall spanning all 13 floors of the building. The 5 Place de Laval marks our entry into the large-scale project market.
2008
Merging of companies: the creation of Groupe Lessard inc.
Eager to see the company grow, the team merges Vitrerie Lessard inc. and Fenestration Lessard & Associés Inc. in an effort to improve operational efficiency. Groupe Lessard Inc. is created and the 85WW Series Window Wall is launched.
Development of the 85WW Series Window Wall system
First major project with the 85WW Series system in the Ontario region: Le Breton Flats.
In the Montreal area, the Louis-Bohème downtown location inaugurates our new product and sets the stage for continuous product improvement!
2005
Growth versus operations
At this time, the objective was to support the continued growth of both companies and to pursue their development. The team associated with new management forces to support this evolution By doing so, the managers were able to instill the group with a new vision while optimizing operations.
Development of the 8500 Series fenestration system for the residential sector
2003 marks the entry of the 8500 Series window into the high-end residential sector with the restoration of the large Redpath project located in the Southwest borough of Montreal. A new market was just opening up for us!
2002

Noticing a lack in the fenestration market, our founders and their collaborators developed an innovative architectural-quality fenestration system for the multi-residential, commercial and institutional markets. The 8500 Series Window was born with the creation of a new company: Fenestration Lessard et Associés inc.
First Lessard product line – MR2000 Conventional Curtain Wall
In 1999, Vélo Primeau Pont-Viau in Laval was the very first client to use the system for a commercial storefront. What a promising future!
1998
Creation of Vitrerie Lessard inc.
In 1998 our founders were already well known in the industry for over 25 years, and they joined forces to create a new company: Vitrerie Lessard inc. They aspired to offer a quality conventional curtain wall system to the market, supported by a team with strong technical expertise that offers reliable after-sales service.
