5000 Series Unitized Curtain Wall (MP)

The MP5000 Unitized Curtain Wall system is prefabricated in a clean and controlled factory environment to ensure a high level of precision. It is a high-end system for high-rise building applications. This series provides a clean architectural look by allowing for the addition of phantom shutters (touch screen), louvers or exterior swinging shutters.

Unitized curtain wall made with extruded aluminium of 6063-T6 minimum alloy and 6061-T6, for unexposed structural components. Usually used for high-rise building facades.

The unitized curtain wall series is designed :

  • As per rain screen principle, with a pressure equalization chamber to prevent water infiltration;
  • With polyamide thermal break;
  • To accommodate differential movement so as to conserve aesthetic and functional integrity.

All seals are made of SILICONE or EPDM depending on their location and function in the system.

Insulated Glass Unit (IGU) options: 25mm (1”), 32mm (1 ¼”), 38mm (1 ½”).

Sealed units are installed from the exterior with a silicone backing gasket and structurally bonded to the curtain wall with 2-part structural silicone.

Pressure plates and aesthetic caps are available.

Available frame depths :
  • 63.5 x 133 mm (2 ½” x 5 1/4”)
  • 63.5 x 164.8 mm (2 ½” x 6 1/2”)
  • 63.5 x 228.3 mm (2 ½” x 9”)

All site assembly is sealant-free, except for silicone membrane junctions and transitions.

Several hoods and architectural options are available for the aesthetic appearance of the building.
